Join Region 3 for a Lunch and Learn

You are invited to attend a Lunch and Learn hosted by Region 3 on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at T. P. Crockmier’s.

Our featured speaker will be Darla Dean, a licensed social worker in the state of Alabama with over 23 years of experience in the health and human services field. Darla currently works in the Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC), whose mission is to provide unbiased guidance, essential information, and personalized assistance to help individuals access the services and support they need.

During the session, Darla will discuss:

• The role of the ADRC in assessing eligibility for community-based programs
• Services offered through the Area Agency on Aging
• Available options through Medicare and Medicaid programs

The Area Agency on Aging is a non-profit governmental agency serving local communities as a hub for information and services for older adults ages 60 and older, their caregivers, and persons with disabilities. Their services encompass Mobile, Baldwin and Escambia counties. However, if someone reaches out to their center from another region, the ADRC works diligently to find the right agency to assist them.

This event is a valuable opportunity to learn more about the resources available in our community.
